Athena gaskets are regarded as the No. 1 alternative to using genuine OEM gaskets and seals, many genuine spares are either too expensive or have been discontinued on older models; This is an issue for most 70's, 80's and an increasing amount of 90's Japanese motorcycles. All gaskets are the same right? Sadly not, aftermarket gaskets and o-rings come in different materials.
Some manufacturers use cheap quality gasket paper that absorb the oil and then eventually seeps through over time. All Athena gaskets and seals meet OEM standard as minimum requirement, with the latest technology and in depth knowledge from Athena's team of engineers, they are able to create products with special coatings that are more resistant to heat and engine pressure. Athena's innovative head gasket design, made from rubber coated steel, keeps the engine casings bonded together under high temperatures, the same method is applied to base gaskets where required. Water pump and side engine case gaskets often have a high temperature blue sealant for added protection. These types of gaskets listed above are normally used on 90's motorcycles onwards.

Piston rings aren't part of the gasket set, often you will need to re-bore your cylinders and use over-sized piston and rings. Please ask for more details.
